Size and Detail
With any product, size is a very important factor. A tattoo that is considered large or covers up a sizable portion of your body is pricey. However, some small tattoos cost more than large ones because of the elaborateness of the design. Most body design tattoos are expensive because of the fact that a custom tattoo design for a specific part of the body is made to fit the exact contours of the body. So it is safe to say that the more intricate the design, the higher the cost. True quality has its price.
Color and Themes
Most tattoos are coal black, but once you add a color, the price changes. A multicolored tattooed costs more than a single colored tattoo. Prices range from $50 to $100 for one to three variations of color. The more elaborate it is in using color, the more expensive it will be, maybe up to $500 or more. However, colored tattoos are expensive in that you have to do a re-coloring of the design if the color fades, which means maintenance is also costly.
Tattoo Artist and Designers
The price depends on the kind of artist or designer you will get to do your tattoo or design. A new tattoo artist or designer will charge less than the standard pricing. Price is parallel with the skills of the artist. Seasoned tattoo artists are expensive regardless of the design, some even charge according to the time they spend creating the tattoo. Tattoos are considered the modern artwork of today, and that is why it is costly. Names like Chris Garver, Guy Aitchinson, Paul Booth and Kat Von D are just some of the well known tattoo artists in the world today.
Just like any service or product, the price of a commodity depends upon the demand. In economics, if a demand is high it is more likely that prices will also be high. There is what you could call hot spots in the tattoo arena. You will find that tattoo hobbyists, enthusiasts and seasoned artists gather in these places. Do not be surprised if the cost of a simple tattoo and the artists services are expensive. These hot spots are the Beverly Hills of the tattoo world, where everything is good quality, but also high-priced.
Tattoos are not like paintings; they cannot be valued. However, you should bear in mind that a tattoo will last a lifetime, so do not compromise on price. Your tattoo is part of who you are. What is more valuable than that?

Especially in regards to Insane Clown Posse and their ICP hoodies, the garment has become a mainstay in the wardrobe of Juggalos everywhere for many reasons. First, the band comes from Detroit and their fan base is spread primarily across the Midwest. In these places, it gets cold. ICP hoodies are one way to stay warm while remaining loyal to your favorite band. Furthermore, ICP hoodies are gold when it comes to marketing Insane Clown Posses music.
I say this because, unlike other underground hip hop artists who choose to sport generic hoodies out of fear of looking to self plugging or being associated with any brand, ICP hoodies take no shame in marketing ICP albums, tours, or artwork.
There are ICP hoodies covered in hundreds of little hatchetmen symbols, ICP hoodies that just have a Jokers Card symbol and nothing else on the front, and others that say just simply ICP. My personal favorite ICP hoodie is that of the Purple Riddlebox ICP Hoodie, because its one of the most original out there. How many other underground hip hop artists do you know that sell purple hoodies?
And what can you find underneath ICP Hoodies? Insane Clown Posse tattoos.
Insane Clown Posse tattoos are no less pervasive than tattoos related to other underground hip hop artists, and all it takes to witness the best ones is a quick Google search. Insane Clown Posse tattoos featuring the hatchetman in fun colors and Insane Clown Posse tattoos displaying Jokers Card symbols abound, and there are even some more explicitly meaningful Insane Clown Posse tattoos that contain ICP lyrics.
Perhaps the most common Insane Clown Posse tattoos involve Insane Clown Posse tattoos of the hatchetman in fun colors with Juggalo commentary attached. Examples include Insane Clown Posse tattoos with inscriptions like “Juggalo for life”, “Juggalo Family”, or pictures of Faygo pouring out onto the hatchetman.
Unfortunately you cant purchase Insane Clown Posse tattoos on the bands online merchandise store, hatchetgear.com, but you can take a look at the ICP hoodies they have to offer.
If youre a thrifty horror rap enthusiast, youll be saving your hard earned money for this August when The Mighty Death Pop! is released. With it are sure to be a slew of new ICP hoodie designs, and probably some creative Insane Clown Posse tattoo designs from the guys at your local parlor.

Obviously, size is a great way to display the mood of your dragon tattoo design. With the long tail and sharp claws it is easy to wrap these parts of the dragon around an arm or across the back. Keep all this in mind when choosing a design.
The other style of dragon is the eastern dragon design. The origin of this style comes from the orient or Asia. These dragons are usually quite different from the western design. They are more serpentine like, with large heads, generally absent of wings, their feet are more lion or mammal like and mostly incapable of breathing fire. The eastern style dragon’s demeanor is depicted to be basically the opposite of the western dragon. They are supposed to be kind, light hearted, smart animals with good intentions. When selecting this style of dragon you should consider color, length, and the number of claws.
Once again the color is very important. Oranges and reds are depicted the most. These are representative of royalty and prosperity. Choose yellow to demonstrate superiority.
The length of an eastern dragon depicts the strength and importance of the dragon. This style lends itself quite nicely to arms and legs due to the serpentine look. They can be wrapped or coiled around these parts of the body.
The number of claws is important to the eastern dragon design. To depict a region in Asia you must understand the importance of the number of claws or toes. 3 claws is representative of Japan. 4 claws depicts Korea or Indonesia and 5 claws or toes is Chinese. Use these rules of thumb to show what part of Asia you want.
I hope this discussion helps you make the right decision about your dragon tattoo design.

Tamatori hime tattoos are Japanese designs that have become famous world wide. The name refers to an ancient Japanese legend involving Tamatori hime stealing from the dragon owning king of the underwater world. Hime stole the kings most prized possession ,a precious bead and then attempted to make her escape.
The story that gave the Tamatori hime tattoos included dragons, pearls, gods and a brave woman who nearly sacrificed herself for what she saw as the greater good. Therefore there are images of bravery ,sacrifice and fighting with dragons that could be included.
Hime hears this and decides to rescue the bead, the problem being that the dragons of the lake believe what ever falls in the lake is rightfully theirs so not surprisingly they attack hime as she tries to swim free.
The dragon has a basic form that is fairly standard in terms of body shape and head design but this still allows plenty of variation.
As you can see from the above design the picture is fairly basic but still is clear and looks very powerful, also it covers the whole back, shoulder and almost down the arm as well. The background is also basic but effective, it includes smoke and flame and also indicates movement.
Different focuses could be the princess in the Tamatori hime tattoos, she is shown swimming or fighting with the dragons. She is often shown as a powerful focus point and as a heroine figure, almost sacrificing herself for what she believed in.
The designs can include the water and the scenery as well as other animals as well as the dragons. The self sacrifice and bravery is important to the scene as well.
The dragon is probably the most common part of the Tamatori hime tattoo probably as it can be drawn in so many ways and can be as small or as large as you wish. There are also possibilities for colour and background as well as how the dragon is shown.
As always do your research on both the designs and the person who will apply the designs. Study the characters for their meanings and history and then design your image, with work you could end up with a special and striking design.
